Health and Wellbeing

'Help Us, Help You' is a new campaign recently launched by NHS England and NHS Improvement and Public Health England. It addresses the barriers that are deterring patients from accessing NHS services.

The NHS has introduced a range of measures to ensure the safety of patients, including COVID-secure wards and phone and digital appointments.

Contact your GP if you are worried about a symptom that could be cancer. If you are pregnant keep appointments and seek advice from your midwife or maternity team if your are worried about your baby. If you are already being treated for a health issue, keep your routine appointments. If you are experiencing mental health issues, access NHS services and support.

Thriving Kirklees text messaging service - ChatHealth is a great way for young people to get confidential advice and support about health related issues direct from their mobile phones.
The number is 07520 618866 and it is available Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm (automatic bounce-backs respond to incoming messages out of hours. All text messages will be responded to within one working day).
In addition, parents/carers can contact the service too for advice and help on health and well-being issues relating to their children. The text number for parents to contact Thriving Kirklees nurses is: 07520 618867.
