The Endorphins

A new programme is being launched for young people with SEND aged 12-17 years old.
The programme will be a live in-person session based at Birstall Community Centre.

This action-packed FUN programme is designed to increase the confidence of our young learners through interactive activities such as sports and crafts, whilst facilitating conversations about their thoughts and feelings regarding the service provision that Kirklees Offers.

Throughout the programme, there will be exciting opportunities to speak with representatives from the council to really champion the 'voice of young people in Kirklees' and to make a real difference in the communities that they live in.

The programme offers a chance to make new friends, learn new things and the opportunity to really grow and develop personally.

Places are limited.

COVID-19 Vaccine Support for People with Severe Mental Illness

Public Health England have developed a series of short videos on COVID-19 vaccination to support and encourage people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) to get their COVID-19 vaccines, and for promotion with GPs and healthcare professionals.

Kevin James is the Chair of the Equally Well UK Expert by Experience Group. He has over 25 years of experience in both using physical and mental health services as well as working with commissioners, the VCSE sector, and NHS foundation trusts.
