This action-packed FUN programme is designed to increase the confidence of our young learners through interactive activities such as sports and crafts, whilst facilitating conversations about their thoughts and feelings regarding the service provision that Kirklees Offers.
Throughout the programme, there will be exciting opportunities to speak with representatives from the council to really champion the 'voice of young people in Kirklees' and to make a real difference in the communities that they live in.
The programme offers a chance to make new friends, learn new things and the opportunity to really grow and develop personally.
Places are limited.
Caring for Children and Young People, Batley (Classroom based course)
Criteria: Course fully funded for anyone aged 19years plus, and unemployed.
The Game Changerz Youth Hub
Do you know about the Game Changerz?
- Youth Hub for ages 11-16 meets every Tuesday 6.30pm-8pm
- Multi-sports sessions for ages 3-14

COVID-19 Vaccine Support for People with Severe Mental Illness
Public Health England have developed a series of short videos on COVID-19 vaccination to support and encourage people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) to get their COVID-19 vaccines, and for promotion with GPs and healthcare professionals.
Kevin James is the Chair of the Equally Well UK Expert by Experience Group. He has over 25 years of experience in both using physical and mental health services as well as working with commissioners, the VCSE sector, and NHS foundation trusts.
This short video explains what people with SMI can expect from the vaccination process. It contains helpful guidance on how to prepare for your appointment and what to expect.
