BBest Community

Welcome back to a new school year – just where did the summer go!

Our children, over 7800 of them attend our 20 schools, are settling in to the new term and re-adjusting to the routine of school-life – just like our teachers!

The next term will be a busy one for them and the Hub – we will be working hard to bring support into the community. Inform you about events in the community and developing new partnerships to strengthen our community.

The new school year often brings additional expense for families – school uniform, new winter coats and shoes can put a strain on family budgets. We are very lucky to have a fabulous project in Kirklees that can support families with these items.

“Wonderful news, FREE school uniform is now available for Kirklees residents.”

The majority of the items donated are second-hand and in good condition. There are also a number of items donated which are brand new. We hope you are able to make full use of this service.

In order to access the FREE school uniform you can go to your school office, local children’s centre or the Yorkshire Children’s Centre at Brian Jackson House or download the form here and email it to

They all have access to the request form you will need to complete, they are also available to help you should you require assistance. They will then forward the form on to Uniform Exchange for fulfilment.

Uniform Exchange aims to turn the request around in 14 days and made available for collection from your local children’s centre or Kirklees Library.
